"All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost."
Minnesota, WI // Bon Iver
I am so sleepy, but there’s so much to be done!
Pursuit of Happiness // Lissie
Radio // Lana Del Rey
Now my life is sweet like cinnamon / Like a fucking dream I’m living in
(Also… the way she pronounces “vitamin” in that English way. I like.)
Diet Mtn Dew // Lana Del Rey
Only been stuck in my head for a week..
I don’t usually like it when my parents invite people over for dinner because it means that I have to pretend to be nice to people and their children, but sometimes it’s kind of fun. Tonight Cameron’s dad asked me to pick a song that I thought was representative of myself and I just couldn’t do it! He said that he thought this song was a good fit for me, which is funny because that’s exactly what Rohini said last night.. Would you guys be able to choose a song that you think is representative of you?
That’s the Way // Led Zeppelin
I used to listen to this song on tape in my dad’s 1997 Subaru which he bought because it was a hatchback, a four-wheel drive, and a stick shift — something about being good for camping. Now, of course, it’s gone, but I want it back. And I want to listen to Led Zeppelin on tape in the back with my daddy.
Arabesque No. 1 // Claude Debussy
Substituting listening to piano for actually practicing, but just for today. This song is so difficult because of the weird rhythms, and bringing out the melody is close to impossible. Debussy is brilliant and I’m not sure I can exactly communicate his genius through my own fingertips, but here’s to trying.
Faust Arp // Radiohead
The kind of song you listen to while lying down on your bed in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.
Also, I want to be front row.
Come Closer Together // Nine Inch Nails vs. The Beatles
The only word that comes to mind when I listen to this is seamless.
Here’s That Rainy Day // Frank Sinatra
When I’m Gone // Wiz Khalifa
Sitting on my bed, listening to this on repeat.
Breakfast with the Beatles.
